To provide opportunities and visibility to women and to build a diverse and inclusive event where audiences and participants can experience the beauty and magic of Argentine Tango.

Barriers of gender, race, class, sexual orientation, age and finance have frequently limited who is visible, who can access, who can participate, and what roles are available to those who do participate. We are working to break down these barriers by creating different ways in which the public can engage in an inclusive tango experience.

This includes but is not limited to: learning to dance tango in whatever role pleases each person, experiencing tango music from an all-female tango orchestra, participating in community conversations, lectures, and social events, and discovering what tango culture can mean to each and every one of us in an environment designed to foster inclusion and belonging.

Key elements of this initiative is to provide equitable and fair compensation for all personnel, support local arts and cultural venues that share the same values, and create thoughtful scholarships that will allow anyone to participate in the event with dignity and ease, especially if they could not otherwise afford to attend.

We need your help! Your tax-deductible contribution will be used for the following:

  • Compensation for over 30 collaborators

  • Venue rental fees that also support other local arts and cultural programming at organizations such as Roulette Intermedium and Bric Arts Media.

  • Scholarship and sliding scale opportunities so that everyone can participate, helping to subvert class and financial boundaries
